Process

From camera roll to bound volume, in five steps.

Every book goes through the same pipeline. No AI-generated copy. No auto-layout. A designer looks at every spread before anything touches a printer.

  1. 01

    Upload the trip

Drop a folder: raw JPEG/RAW, phone shots, scans, whatever you have. We accept up to 400 source files per volume. You can add captions inline or send a single notes doc — whatever matches how you work.

  2. 02

    A designer edits and sequences

A human — not a template — cuts your 400 files down to the 60 to 100 that carry the trip, then sequences them. We write a rough table of contents and propose chapter breaks based on your itinerary.

  3. 03

    Digital proof in 72 hours

You get a PDF proof with every spread, typeset. Three rounds of revisions are included — swap photos, rewrite captions, nudge a sequence. Unlimited revisions on Signature and Legacy tiers.

  4. 04

    Print and bind

On approval, we print on 170gsm archival matte stock, thread-sew the sections, and case-bind with linen-wrapped boards. Production is 7–10 days. Shipping is insured and tracked.

  5. 05

    Arrives in a slipcase

Every WayFolio ships in a custom-cut chipboard slipcase. Not flashy. Built to survive the trip from the UPS truck to the bookshelf.

Four things we'll put in writing.

Proof-first, always

No book prints without your written sign-off on a PDF proof. Full stop.

72-hour turnaround on the proof

From receipt of your files to a proof in your inbox: 72 hours or less, business days. If we miss it, the proof round is free.

Archival promise

If the paper fades, yellows, or delaminates within 10 years under normal home conditions, we reprint the volume at no charge.

Your files stay yours

We never license, resell, or use your photography for anything beyond printing your book. Sources are deleted 90 days after delivery unless you ask us to keep them for a sequel.
